Hyatt Hotels and Resorts
The Hyatt team at Critical Mass needed some extra hands for some special projects, and approached me about coming on board with them to help them bring these ongoing projects to completion. While with the Hyatt team, I was able to work on both a subsection of hyatt.com, as well as a microsite, www.hyattresortsgreatsummergetaway.com (no longer online).
My role in both of these projects was to take design flats from our creative department and dev them out, building them into the existing structure within the Hyatt web environment.
- Role: Web Developer
- Technologies used: XHTML, CSS, Javascript (Prototype + Scriptaculous), AJAX, Apache, AGT Dynamo, Photoshop CS3
- Duties:
- Collaborate with creative department to refine design comps (designers have a nasty habit of coming up with ideas that are impossible on the internet!)
- Create working, valid XHTML documents from design comps
- Build in existing site logic (search functionality, etc.)
